We are the MAKE USE group!

We consist of young people and we are active in the city of Larissa, since October 2018. We deal with issues that concern us and we wish to mobilize other people in our city. Our goal is to create an open youth community, which will be active socially and politically and will be able to express itself freely. The reason for the creation of our group was the Youth Exchange programme “Generation Europe: Young Democracy in action”. This European network has evolved into “Generation Europe: The Academy“, in which our group is actively involved, having matured and evolving continuously. A decisive factor for both “MAKE USE” and “MAKE USE too” projects was the support of the European Solidarity Corps.

Since then, we have carried out various actions at local level, such as the creation of the MAKE USE – kit and the conduct of the kit creation workshops in schools, the MAKE USE map of Larissa, the “Sexulaikotita” webcomics and the questionnaires “Young people ask young people” and “Me, my body and others”. Additionally, our group is part of the International network ROOTS & ROUTES, the Mediterranean network AJCM (Network of Young Citizens of the Mediterranean), while locally it participates and is represented in the Municipal Youth Council of Larissa.

We created makeuse.gr, hoping to function as a digital community of young people of Larissa, so that we can share, be heard, express ourselves freely, (re)act collectively, learn and mobilize.

We are here to welcome and include any other young person who needs to speak out on social and political issues concerning the city of Larissa and beyond.
