ONLINE WORKSHOP: MAKING LINKS IN A DEMOCRATIC SOCIETY!

Saturday 17 December / 14:00 – 16:15

All individuals living in a place and country are part of a larger community. Depending on our characteristics, our opinions, our profession we have a role and some functions, without acting completely autonomously. Does this interaction between us not always exist or function as it should? In an (ideal) democratic society, are citizens heard, does the government listen, as it should? Where and how do the media and civil society organizations contribute to a society?

To these questions and others that will arise, the MAKE USE team invites you to reflect together, take on roles, negotiate and highlight strengths and weaknesses as we identify them in practice. What room for change and improvement will we manage to discover? Will things become clearer?

The workshop will take place on Saturday 17 December at 14:00 (until about 16:15) via Zoom, facilitated by Vangelis Pappas (MAKE USE). It is the third in a series of workshops that will be held free of charge via the website https://makeuse.gr/, which aims to function as a virtual (until it becomes a real one) youth centre.

Note: For the best interaction of the people who will participate, it is suggested to use at least a microphone, to be heard, and why not a camera, to be seen. In addition, because the digital tool to be used (Google Jamboard) is more user-friendly via computer/laptop, it is ideally suggested that you use such a tool to connect. Otherwise, you will most likely need the corresponding app on your device.
